EDCTTerms of Use

These terms apply to the EDCT app and service (“EDCT”, “we”). By using EDCT you agree to them. EDCT is also licensed to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to it; if they conflict, the Standard EULA prevails for matters it covers.
1. Not for operational use
EDCT is an informational tool. It is not an official source of air traffic control instructions and must not be the sole basis of any operational, dispatch or flight decision. EDCTs come from the FAA’s System Wide Information Management (SWIM) feed. They can change at any time, and the data shown in the app or in notifications may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Always confirm your departure clearance time with ATC, your dispatcher or your airline’s official systems.
2. Who can use EDCT
EDCT is for airline crews, dispatchers and other aviation staff. You sign in with your airline work email, and you must be allowed by your employer to use that address. You are responsible for keeping your devices and email account secure, and for what happens in your account.
3. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse EDCT. In particular, don’t:
- sign in with an email address that isn’t yours, or share your account;
- scrape, copy at scale, resell or redistribute the data shown in the app;
- interfere with the service, test its vulnerabilities without our permission, or get around its limits;
- use EDCT in breach of any law or of your employer’s policies.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
4. The service
EDCT is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or end any part of it at any time, and we don’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, or that notifications will be delivered. Push notifications depend on Apple, on your device settings and on your network.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from delays, missed departures, crew or schedule decisions, or reliance on information shown in EDCT. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
6. Intellectual property
The EDCT app, name and design belong to us. Flight data belongs to its sources, including the FAA. EDCT is not affiliated with or endorsed by the FAA or any airline.
7. Privacy
How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using EDCT at any time and delete your account from the app’s home screen. These terms stop applying to you when your account is deleted, except the sections that by their nature continue (1, 5 and 6).
9. Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for EDCT or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use EDCT after a change means you accept the updated terms.
